XWLAN uses several different wireless technologies to provide a ‘bridge’ between two or more locations, over distances up to 20km. Alternatively we can supply high bandwidth Internet Service Provision where it is not currently available.
These technologies include satellite broadband service provision, free space optical high bandwidth connectivity for voice and data, and wireless local area networking using the 802.11 standard.

| Where the linking of major networks or corporate office buildings is required and conventional means are either too expensive or impossible due to geographical restrictions such as rivers or roads, FSO (laser) links may be appropriate. This type of connectivity provides extremely fast data and voice throughput over several kilometres, cutting the costs of conventional leased line connections. The connection must be Line-Of-Site, but the link is extremely secure. The advantage that there are no ongoing charges when using this type of connection make it extremely competitive compared with conventional fibre or copper based links.
